Locks are an indispensible link in the Dutch waterways system. Jansen Venneboer designs and builds contemporary lock systems that can act as dams, while also opening to allow for the passage of boats.

Jansen Venneboer designs and constructs complete lock complexes – where required in combination with a weir complex – and equips them with advanced technical systems. Efficient systems with ‘one button’ operation are available, and are particularly useful in the leisure sector, enabling users to operate locks and weirs on navigation routes themselves.

Jansen Venneboer has an in-house team of specialists for the production and construction of locks and, for specific projects, has access to expert sub-contractors. We can offer our services as principal contractor or provide our specialist skills on a partnership basis. Our expertise also extends to lock and weir renovation.
